A Childhood in the USA
In the mid 1980's, Carine and Roland Coupat were only 20 years old when they decided to leave France to chase their American Dream in Los Angeles. They created several successful businesses in the tourism sector. During their time abroad, they also had two sons, Léo and Quentin.
Moving back to Provence
After 15 years in the US, the family decided to return to their French roots and move back to the south of France, Provence. They fell under the spell of an incredible wine estate located in the heart of the Luberon region, the Bastide du Laval. They moved in and have not left the region since.
Dedicating their Lives to their Passion
In 2000, the family decided to live their dream : produce their own olive oil. Léo and his brother Quentin had not yet reached 10 years old when they helped their parents plant the first olive trees.
In the following years, ambition grew with the number of olive trees, and with the subsequent winning of their first awards came the recognition of the family work. At that point, over 4000 olive trees had been planted.
From a Hobby
to a Family Business
With an increasing production and desire to reach the highest quality possible, the project had to grow. The family was trained in the best French and Italian mills.
Roland obtained his oleogistist diploma and an olive oil mill was built on the estate.
Public Support and Peer Recognition
Thanks to their multiple award-winning olive oils, the enthusiasm of the media and the word of mouth of the public, Bastide du Laval's mill has risen recognition across the country and beyond. Each year, over 15 000 visitors from Europe, USA, and Asia come to Provence to visit the mill and taste its iconic olive oils.
The Birth of Trésor d'Olive
Today, consuming good products such as high-quality olive oil becomes a priority for all the food lovers around the world. It is to meet the increasing demand for outstanding olive oil that Leo Coupat decided to create Trésor d’Olive.
The brand puts the quintessence of the product at its center. Leo is looking for this "green gold" across the world in order to offer the purest olive juice.
